Information reaching Jamaica is that dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta was detained in Costa Rica yesterday evening.
It is alleged that Tommy Lee Sparta was detained in a holding room at the Juan Santamaria Airport in San José because of an incident which occurred several years ago.
The artiste was in the island for a show at Club Peppers on Saturday night. It is unclear whether or not he will be allowed to perform.
Efforts to contact Tommy Lee Sparta’s camp for a comment were unsuccessful.
