Prince Jazzbo Dead

Roots deejay PRINCE Jazzbo who recorded mainly in the 1970s, died Wednesday morning from lung cancer at his home in Homestead, St Catherine.

Veteran Broadcaster Bob Clarke remembers Prince Jazzbo as a hard worker.

Prince Jazzbo’s early work with Clement “Coxsone” Dodd at Studio One produced several hits in 1972-1974 including: “School”, “Fool For Love” and “I Imperial”.

His first hit in 1972 with Coxsone was a version of Horace Andy’s “Skylarking”, which he re-worked as “Crabwalking”.

Prince Jazzbo was 62.
