Kartel’s Murder Trial Staggers With Juror Shortage

july 13th,2013

Vybz Kartel’s high profile murder trial has toppled on a shortage of jurors.

Of the 12 jurors needed, only 3 have been selected from the twenty jurors who turned up to court this morning.

The juror selection for the jailed dancehall deejay is expected to resume tomorrow where 9 jurors will be selected to make up a 12 juror panel the court needs.

Vybz Kartel who is accused of the July 2011 shooting death of St Catherine businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton pleaded not guilty to the offence when the matter came up in the Home Circuit Court this morning.

Kartel was granted bail on that charge but cannot take up the offer because he has another murder case pending in the Home Circuit Court.
