Junior Reid (born Delroy Reid) is best known as being the man that replaced Michael Rose as lead vocalist with Black Uhuru. Before he was selected as Michael Rose’s replacement, he had already scored big Jamaican hits with ‘Original Foreign Mind’ and ‘Babylon Release The Chain’. After two albums with black Uhuru, Reid and Uhuru split and shortly thereafter he relaunched his solo career and set up his JR
Productions / Recording Studio in Kingston. A number of top Jamaican artists have recorded there and Junior Reid has produced a good number of critically respected albums.
