And the Grammy goes to!? Ziggy Marley the eldest son of reggae legend Bob Marley received his fourth Grammy Award as a solo act in the Best Reggae Album category on Sunday night.
Ziggy won the Grammy for his self-titled album over nominees Raging Fyah, Sly and Robbie featuring Devin Di Dakta and JL, JBoogs, and American bands SOJA and Rebelution.
Released last year on Ziggy’s Tuff Gong Worldwide label, the album ‘Ziggy Marley’ debuted at number one on the Billboard Reggae Charts.
Meanwhile another Marley, Skip Marley, son of Cedella Marley made his grand debut on the Grammy’s stage performing his brand new collaboration ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ with American pop singer Katy Perry.
The 59th annual Grammy awards was held last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
