XANA Romeo, daughter of veteran roots-reggae singer Max Romeo, is set to release her mix tape, The Cleanse, which is produced by her father for his Tharmax Music label.
According to 20-year-old Xana, The Cleanse is a personal statement.
“It speaks about the cleansing process that one must go through to become a more positive individual,” she said.
Born in the Kingston community of Greenwich Town, Xana was christened Azana Smith. She relocated with her family to Linstead, St Catherine where Max Romeo operates his production company and recording studio.
While attending Moneague College in St Ann, she made her recording debut with the rap song I’m Gold. Another of her songs, No Love, is included on The Cleanse.
